Los Angeles, CA (Mar 9th, 2026)- A 22-year-old passenger was killed in a crash after a devastating single-vehicle collision in Porter Ranch that left one man dead and several others injured. Authorities say the incident occurred around 10:05 a.m. Sunday along Tampa Avenue, just south of Tunney Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Investigators reported that a gray 2015 Acura traveling southbound on Tampa Avenue lost control while allegedly speeding. The vehicle veered off the street, slammed into a traffic signal, and crashed into nearby private property. The violent impact caused catastrophic damage to the car and resulted in serious injuries for those inside the vehicle.
Emergency responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene shortly after the crash was reported. Paramedics determined that one of the passengers, a 22-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. According to police, another passenger sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
