Orange County, CA (Aug 20th, 2025)- Anaheim Police Seek Help in Fatal Hit-and-Run after a tragic collision claimed the life of 58-year-old Gary Henry Looper earlier this month. The crash occurred just before midnight on August 9 at the intersection of Knott and Orange avenues in Anaheim. According to Anaheim Police Sgt. Matt Sutter, Looper was crossing Knott Avenue when he was struck by a red or maroon vehicle. Instead of stopping to render aid, the driver fled the scene, leaving Looper critically injured. He was transported to a nearby hospital, but despite medical efforts, he passed away on August 12.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department later identified the victim as Gary Henry Looper, who was described as homeless at the time of the accident.
