Los Angeles, CA (Jul 14th, 2025)- Cyclist loses life in Vermont Square traffic incident after a devastating early-morning collision in South Los Angeles. The crash occurred around 12:50 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Vernon Avenue and Figueroa Street, according to a statement from Los Angeles Police Department Officer Tony Im.
Initial investigations revealed that the vehicle involved was traveling southbound on Figueroa Street, while the bicyclist was heading eastbound on Vernon Avenue when the two collided. The force of the impact was severe, resulting in the immediate death of the cyclist, who was described as a man approximately 30 years old. Emergency responders arrived on the scene and pronounced him dead shortly after the incident.
