Los Angeles, CA ( Nov 4th, 2025)- A Deadly Two-Vehicle Crash Near Lancaster is under investigation after a 66-year-old Palmdale woman was tragically killed in a collision involving a large commercial truck. The fatal accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Friday along Avenue D at 70th Street West, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Authorities reported that the woman, identified as J. Karwowski, was driving a 2002 Ford northbound on 70th Street West when she entered the intersection and was struck by an eastbound 2021 Peterbilt truck driven by a 24-year-old man from Riverside. “For reasons still under investigation, the driver of the Ford entered the intersection directly into the path of the Peterbilt, resulting in a collision,” said the CHP in a statement. Sadly, Karwowski suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers were reportedly wearing seat belts, and early findings suggest that neither drugs nor alcohol played a role in the incident. Following the crash, officers closed the roadway for nearly two hours as investigators worked to document the scene and clear debris.
