Los Angeles, CA (Mar 31st, 2025)- A tragic accident in Pacoima on Sunday morning resulted in the death of a motorist after his vehicle collided with a Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) fire engine. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident occurred in the 13000 block of West Terra Bella Street, near the Golden State (5) Freeway, at approximately 10:45 a.m..

Emergency responders arrived swiftly at the crash scene, where they found the driver of a Toyota Corolla, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts, he was later pronounced dead.

The LAFD reported that two firefighters who were aboard the fire engine also sustained injuries in the crash. They were transported to a hospital for treatment and were expected to recover. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased driver, and investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
