Los Angeles, CA (Sep 11th, 2025) Fatal Crash Claims Driver’s Life in Claremont after a tragic two-vehicle accident on the Foothill (210) Freeway this past Saturday morning. Authorities have identified the victim as 65-year-old Tracy Willis, a local motorist whose life was cut short in the devastating collision.

Details of the Accident

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash happened around 8 a.m. on the eastbound side of the 210 Freeway, just west of Monte Vista Avenue. Preliminary findings indicate that a brown Mini Cooper was disabled and unoccupied, parked on the right shoulder of the freeway. For reasons still under investigation, a white Ford Focus driven by Willis drifted toward the shoulder and slammed into the rear of the Mini Cooper.

The force of the impact left Willis with severe injuries. Emergency medical responders arrived quickly and rushed him to a nearby hospital. Tragically, despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at 8:25 a.m. The CHP confirmed that no one else was inside the Mini Cooper at the time of the crash.

Following the collision, authorities issued a SigAlert at 8:26 a.m., which shut down lanes three and four of the eastbound freeway. The closure caused traffic delays as investigators and emergency crews worked at the scene. By 9:35 a.m., the lanes were reopened, restoring normal traffic flow. While the roadway has since cleared, the impact of this fatal accident continues to weigh heavily on the community and the victim’s loved ones.
