The rider, identified as Ruben Delgado of Desert Hot Springs, was fatally injured when his Yamaha motorcycle collided with a trash truck on Dillon Road, just west of Prospect Road, on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash occurred around 1:50 p.m., when Delgado, traveling westbound, struck a trash truck that was making a left turn from the eastbound lane. The impact was severe, throwing Delgado from his motorcycle.
