Riverside County, VA (June 3, 2025)- Officials Name Woman Fatally Injured in Four-Car Wreck, identifying the victim as 44-year-old Jamie Pierce of Riverside. The fatal crash occurred at approximately 11:55 a.m. last Friday on westbound Interstate 10, just west of the Cottonwood Springs Road and Box Canyon Road off-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling at an unconfirmed high rate of speed when the driver failed to slow down and struck the rear of Ms. Pierce’s Volkswagen sedan. After that initial impact, the Dodge Ram continued westbound, plowing into a Tesla sedan before slamming into a big-rig semi-truck. Pierce, who was alone in the Volkswagen at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics.
CHP Officer David Torres reported that the pickup truck’s driver sustained moderate to major injuries and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs for treatment. No other injuries were reported among the occupants of the Tesla or the big rig.
