Los Angeles, CA (May 21st, 2025)- Santa Clarita Crash Claims Life of Off-Duty Deputy when a Sunday afternoon commute ended in tragedy on San Francisquito Canyon Road, south of Dry Gulch Road. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that 21-year-old Deputy Daniel V. Chavira—riding in his personal vehicle—was fatally injured in the multi-vehicle collision, which occurred shortly after 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
