Suspect Sought in Fatal Stanton Hit-and-Run [Orange County, CA]

Orange County, CA (Jun 26th, 2025)- Suspect Sought in Fatal Stanton Hit-and-Run after a tragic incident claimed the life of 66-year-old Jeffery DeLaRosa, a homeless man, in Stanton. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is calling on the public to assist in identifying the driver responsible for the deadly hit-and-run.

Deputies responded to the scene at around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, near Katella Avenue and Date Street, after receiving reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Sadly, DeLaRosa was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.

Authorities have described the suspect vehicle as a white 2007–2015 Nissan Rogue, a compact crossover SUV that is likely to exhibit front-end damage. The vehicle was last seen heading eastbound on Katella Avenue toward Beach Boulevard. Investigators are working diligently to track down the driver, but they need help from the community.
