According to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, a black Lexus LS400 was traveling southbound on 10th Street West at an unknown rate of speed when it entered the intersection at Avenue N. A white Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck was simultaneously traveling eastbound on Avenue N. The two vehicles collided within the intersection. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash — including whether a traffic signal, stop sign, or right-of-way violation contributed — remains under active investigation by the LASD Palmdale station.
Emergency Response and Investigation
LASD deputies and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to the intersection of Avenue N and 10th Street West following the crash. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
