Los Angeles, CA (July 2, 2024) – Burbank pedestrian tragically killed by an alleged impaired driver, suspect released on bail. A 64-year-old man accused of driving impaired and causing the death of a Burbank pedestrian was released on bail on Monday.
The Burbank Police Department reported that officers responded to an incident at the intersection of Olive Avenue and Glenoaks Boulevard around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, where a woman had been hit by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, police and paramedics found a severely injured female in the alley of the 400 block of East Olive Avenue.
The victim, identified as 76-year-old Anahid Sarkissian of Burbank, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, Vincent Carnegie of Burbank, was detained at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter. He was booked into the Burbank City Jail but released on $100,000 bail. Carnegie is scheduled to appear in court on July 24.
