Los Angels, CA (July 9, 2024)- In the wake of the tragic Larchmont Hit-and-Run Incident, police are appealing to the public for help in locating the motorist responsible for fatally striking a 26-year-old woman.
The incident occurred in the early hours of June 22, at around 3:20 a.m., when the woman was crossing North Western Avenue at Rosewood Avenue within a marked crosswalk.
A late-model white pickup truck, potentially a Chevrolet or Ford, traveling southbound on Western Avenue, hit her and fled the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Following the collision, paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department promptly transported the woman to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The identity of the victim is currently being withheld by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner pending notification of her next of kin.
