In the quiet early hours of  Monday morning, tragedy struck in unincorporated Mead Valley in Riverside County. The California Highway Patrol is urgently seeking information about a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the loss of a pedestrian’s life.

Reported to authorities around 7:40 a.m., the collision occurred in Mead Valley, near the crossroads of Cajalco and Decker roads. 

Shockingly, the pedestrian, a 37-year-old resident of Perris, was found lifeless on the shoulder.

The details are chilling: the pedestrian was struck sometime between 3:15 a.m. and 7 a.m., leaving a significant time gap before the incident was reported. The driver responsible callously fled the scene, leaving the victim behind, potentially for several hours.
