Riverside/Moreno Valley, CA (APR. 30, 2024)- A driver traveling the wrong way on the 60 and 215 freeways caused a chaotic scene early Sunday, April 28, resulting in two separate accidents involving five other vehicles and injuring three people.

The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. when the driver, heading northbound in the southbound lanes, collided with two other vehicles on the transition road from the westbound 60 Freeway to the southbound 215 Freeway, as confirmed by California Highway Patrol Officer Javier Navarro.

Shortly after the initial collision, the same driver continued onto the westbound lanes of the 60 Freeway and crashed head-on with three other vehicles.

After causing the accidents, the driver attempted to flee on foot but was found suffering from significant injuries along Day Street, not far from the freeway.

The individual was taken to a hospital for treatment and subsequently arrested for driving under the influence, hit-and-run, and driving on the wrong side of the road.
