ORANGE COUNTY, CA (April 1, 2024) : (KTLA5)–A tragic incident unfolded on the 91 Freeway in Yorba Linda, where a motorist was fatally struck while attempting to repair their disabled vehicle.
The crash occurred shortly after midnight, with the victim’s car stationed on the westbound shoulder between Green River Drive and the 241 Freeway.
According to reports from California Highway Patrol officials, the motorist was outside the vehicle performing repairs when they were hit by another car whose driver lost control.
The collision propelled the victim onto the freeway lanes, where they were tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Remarkably, the driver responsible for the crash emerged seemingly unharmed.
However, details regarding what led to the loss of control remain unclear at this time.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed as of yet.
